Wenatchee Midwife Service & Childbirth
Center is complete maternity care, supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth
and postpartum.
Wenatchee Midwife Service provides care to the greater Wenatchee community, offering personalized
prenatal and postpartum care and a safe out-of-hospital birthing option. The freestanding childbirth center was founded in
1996 and has since welcomed nearly 700 newborn babies.
The midwifery philosophy of care is woman and family centered,
offering personalized care to empower and educate families through this sacred time of their lives.
Midwifery care
is primary care for low risk, healthy, pregnant women and their families. The majority of women are good candidates for midwifery
care and out-of-hospital birth. Women are carefully screened for pre-existing risk factors and any problems that may arise
during pregnancy or birth. The primary commitment is to the safety of mother and child.
The birth center and midwives
of Wenatchee Midwife Service & Childbirth Center are licensed by the state of Washington.
